Longtime restaurant Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack wouldn't be the same without its longtime staff, including the late Travis Gentry.

According to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, "Bird’s lost a longtime employee Friday morning. Travis Gentry was in his early 30s when his life was cut short unexpectedly."

To help the surviving members of the Gentry family, for Tuesday's service only, Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack, the funky burger and seafood joint on North Bronough Street, is inviting guests to "dine to donate."

All proceeds from the day's service will go to family members to help with end-of-life expenses.

Patrons of the restaurant inquired about other ways they can show their support if they were not available to attend Tuesday's services. They were redirected to a Cash App account, $ZacharyGentry850, listed in the comment section of the post.

Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack could not be immediately reached for comment.
