Thursday’s celebrations at Tropicana Field were among the first of the high school graduation season in Tampa Bay.
Commencement ceremonies were scheduled through the weekend and into Tuesday for Pinellas County’s 17 traditional high schools. Graduations for the district’s alternative and special-needs schools will take place later in May.
Hillsborough County Public Schools will begin graduations for traditional high schools next week at the Florida State Fairgrounds, and celebrations for Pasco County graduates will take place in late May and early June.
