Toddler hit and killed by vehicle in Hillsborough County

A 3-year-old was hit and killed by a vehicle in Hillsborough County on Thursday night, according to officials.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was summoned to the 7500 block of Pitch Pine Circle in Tampa just before 7 p.m. to reports of a child hit by a vehicle, the agency said in a news release.

The toddler was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff’s officials said.

No other information was immediately released.
