A Walt Disney World patron is suing the theme park, saying she was injured during a “stampede” before an event at Magic Kingdom in Florida.

The Pennsylvania visitor is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, according to the lawsuit filed Aug. 12 in Orange County.

McClatchy News reached out to The Walt Disney Co. for comment Monday and did not immediately receive a response.

The woman says she was walking down Main Street at Orlando’s Magic Kingdom on June 25, while the park was “packed and extremely busy.”

An event was starting shortly, and a crowd of people “rushed” the woman and knocked her over amid a “stampede,” according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit says Disney was negligent and failed to control the crowd or provide warning of possible danger, causing the woman to sustain “permanent injury to her body as a whole.”

She’s asking for a jury trial to determine damages.
