    Florida’s locked door law vexes schools

    The big story: They didn’t exactly say “I told you so.”

    But school district officials in Pasco and Pinellas counties this week detailed some of the problems they’ve encountered while implementing Florida’s new law on locking all campus doors and gates whenever students are present — a law they warned would be tough to put in place while it was still being written.

    They made plans to include a call for change in their 2025 legislative platform.
