    The big story: Floridians continued to parse through this week’s school board election results, in which several candidates backed by Gov. Ron DeSantis and right-leaning groups such as Moms for Liberty lost.

    For a second day, DeSantis offered an explanation for why his endorsements might have fallen flat. Gov. Ron DeSantis said he was too busy raising money for Donald Trump to have time to put his resources behind school board candidates he backed, Florida Politics reports.

    DeSantis also said he believed Brevard County board incumbent Matt Susin, whom he endorsed, can win a runoff in November, WMFE reports.
