What we saw at the Tampa Bay Comic Convention

The three-day Tampa Bay Comic Convention swirled through the Tampa Convention Center this weekend. And no, don’t call it “comic con.” They were sued by San Diego over the name.
The event is back to pre-pandemic attendance with an expected 50,000 people over the weekend who converged on the convention center to get photos with celebrities, autographs with authors, snap up merchandise, take part in nerdy panels and seize prize money for their cosplay.
The convention, which started in 2010, is a warm community of like-minded lovers of pop culture, featuring a vintage market, engaging panel discussions and some top notch cosplay.
