Voices of Hope benefit dinner in Clearwater raises $135k for aphasia

What has eight letters and spells fun and games? Word Play, the annual Voices of Hope for Aphasia benefit dinner where guests show off their puzzle-solving prowess to win prizes and bragging rights.

The June 6 gala’s highest honor, the Merl Reagle Words for Good Award, named for the late crossword puzzle superstar, went to the Committee to Advocate for Persons with Impairments (CAPI) for guiding efforts to improve the lives of people struggling with aphasia after a stroke or brain injury.
