The first full college football weekend has left Florida and Florida State wallowing in anguish together.

The Gators started Billy Napier’s make-or-break third season with a 24-point home embarrassment to a peer program in a similar situation (Miami). The only good thing to say about the 0-2 Seminoles is that, by playing in Week 0, they’re one game closer to the end of a season that’s destined for disappointment.
