    Not really pro-life

    Confessions of a pro-lifer | Column, Sept. 1

    Like guest columnist William Mcgurn, I am pro-life. However, as a lifelong Democrat, I also believe in a woman’s right to choose what is best for her and her circumstances. The issue I have with the right-wing, anti-abortion crowd is that they are pro-life until the time of birth, then the mother and child are on their own.

    Exactly my problem. I have seen experience of teen and also unwanted pregnancy. The birth of a child carries a great burden on a person. The government does give a shit after a child is born and then republicans come and say that the new mothers are lazy and don’t want to provide for their child. But the government keeps on with the retrorockets that social services need to be cut.
