Alex Golesh takes blame for Byrum Brown’s passing struggles at Alabama

TAMPA — His valiance was as glaring as the golden sheen of his helmet.

Before a six-figure crowd Saturday night, USF quarterback Byrum Brown brandished his resilience and run skills in an effort to will his team past fourth-ranked Alabama. In a game-high 23 rushing attempts, the 19-year-old dual threat was tackled hard, even targeted once, but never relented.
