    After encore effort at ’Bama, can USF defense deliver some sequels?

    TAMPA — For the better part of 54 minutes, it gave its fan base a surreal sense of deja valiance.

    In a hostile setting, before the largest crowd to ever witness a USF football game, the Bulls defense stood toe-to-Tide with fourth-ranked Alabama.

    Just like it did the season before.

    A year after holding the Crimson Tide to a season-low 17 points and 310 total yards (Alabama’s third-lowest output of the season), the Bulls delivered a de facto encore last Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.
