Tubular Tokes owner acquitted of battery behind St. Pete store

A jury found Skylar Strickland not guilty of battery after a daylong trial in Clearwater on Wednesday.

Strickland, the 35-year-old owner of St. Petersburg vape shop Tubular Tokes, stood accused of battering Madison Hayward, 22, in the parking lot behind his Central Avenue store.

“I’m just really glad that this is done,” Strickland said Thursday by phone.
