Florida State: Ongoing ACC lawsuit ‘compounds the expense and travesty’

Florida State believes a Leon County court has heard enough to award the Seminoles partial summary judgment in its lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The suit has been ongoing since December, so “millions of dollars in legal fees are needlessly being consumed by the perpetuation” of the ACC’s false narratives, FSU’s counsel wrote in a motion this week.

“Postponing the resolution of this question only compounds the expense and travesty,” the filing said, adding that hundreds of millions of Florida’s dollars are at stake.
