    ST. PETERSBURG — The Rays didn’t expect to be having these conversations.

    Heading into the final week of past seasons — the previous five anyway — the talk was about clinching a playoff berth, who they might face and how deep they could play.

    But as they ready for Sunday’s Tropicana Field finale, with formal foregone elimination from the American League wild-card race looming, the discussion points are much different:
