Two dead in wrong-way crash on Suncoast Parkway, troopers say

Two drivers died early Saturday when one hit the other while traveling the wrong direction on the Suncoast Parkway in Hernando County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just north of County Line Road shortly before 1 a.m. A 45-year-old Homosassa man was driving a Volkswagen Jetta south in the northbound lanes of the highway, also called State Road 589, troopers said.

So was the guy drink? How does one drive the wrong way on Suncoast? There are big markers and signs saying that it's the wrong way when you try to enter through the exits.
