Conor Geekie faces suspension for fight in Lightning preseason game

TAMPA — Lightning top prospect Conor Geekie, who earned kudos from his teammates after fighting Florida’s Josh Davies following an open-ice hit the Panther put on captain Victor Hedman, now faces possible suspension for initiating the dust-up in Wednesday’s preseason game.

Geekie has a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety for violating Rule 70.2
