    A costly lesson for Bucs offensive coordinator Liam Coen

    TAMPA — The Bucs defense has taken the brunt of responsibility for the fourth-quarter and overtime collapse in Thursday night’s 36-30 loss to the Falcons.

    It deserves its share, no doubt. You can’t have quarterback Kirk Cousins pass for 509 yards and four touchdowns without a few mea culpas from head coach Todd Bowles, who calls the defense.

    But the fact is, offensive coordinator Liam Coen took his foot off the gas.

    After watching Baker Mayfield throw for as many touchdown passes (3) as incompletions (3) in the first half, the Bucs turtled.
