In Pinellas County, fall tourism is replaced by recovery efforts

Before Hurricane Helene hit, New York subway cars were adorned with images of a blazing orange sunset aglow over emerald waters and pristine white sand beaches. “Fall colors without the falling temperatures,” the Pinellas County tourism advertisement read.

In Hurricane Helene’s aftermath, those ads, designed to draw visitors during the region’s slow season, were pulled by Visit St.
