The truth about the Bucs defense and rookie quarterbacks

TAMPA — They beat Jayden Daniels and the Commanders. They lost to Bo Nix and the Broncos.

For the third time in six weeks, the Bucs will face a rookie quarterback when Spencer Rattler starts Sunday for the Saints.

But the idea of Todd Bowles’ defense being thrown fresh meat under center scares the daylights out of some Bucs fans.

Maybe it’s because it wasn’t that long ago that the Bucs lost four straight games to rookie quarterbacks.
