Durham takes itself off list for Rays’ potential 2025 home

If the damage to Tropicana Field forces the Rays to need a new home for the full 2025 season, they won’t be playing in Durham, North Carolina.

The Rays’ longtime Triple-A affiliate put out a statement Thursday saying scheduling conflicts and “other logistical challenges” would be problematic to host the parent team for the full season.

The Rays are hoping to get a sense in the next few weeks of how extensively Tropicana Field was damaged by Hurricane Milton, and when, or if, they could return.
