2024 hurricane outlook just got bigger: 25 named storms now expected by experts
Colorado State University has updated its hurricane season forecast, calling for a more active season than the already “extremely active” forecast from June. Duke Energy bid to raise Florida rates moves toward resolution

Hillsborough deputies investigate fatal Tampa shooting
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found fatally shot in Tampa Monday evening. Deputies responded to a 911 call saying someone had been shot near the 5800 block of North Cameron Ave, in the Pinecrest West Park neighborhood, according to a news release from the agency. When deputies arrived about 6 p.m., they found a man with an upper body gunshot wound.
