TGH Foundation Fund Helps East Coast Patients Access Cutting-Edge Care

Since 2020, TGH has been creating a framework of state-of-the-art services connecting patients in Palm Beach and Martin counties with the expertise and innovation of a preeminent academic health system. This has been great news for patients on Florida’s East Coast needing a higher level of care. With a clear path to TGH, patients no longer have to leave the state when they need complex care or procedures.

To further help patients access complex care, the nonprofit hospital’s Foundation recently initiated a special fund for those demonstrating a need for financial assistance with travel costs to Tampa. The Patient Support Fund will cover expenses like transportation, gas and hotel accommodations.

“Money raised will help remove possible financial barriers for East Coast patients so they can easily travel to Tampa to receive the care they need when they need it,” said Frann Leppla, senior vice president & chief philanthropy officer of TGH Foundation.

Along with the Patient Support Fund, TGH’s ambassador program allows patients to communicate with a nurse with specialized expertise who will coordinate all aspects of their care.
