In a truly surprising turn of events, Jake Paul will not be facing the heavyweight legend Mike Tyson as initially expected on July 20. Instead, Paul will be going up against the formidable mixed martial artist and Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fighter Mike Perry in an eight-round cruiserweight boxing match at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Paul was originally set to fight Tyson in Arlington, Texas, at the AT&T Stadium, but the fight had to be rescheduled due to an unexpected ulcer flare-up that jeopardized Tyson's health. This decision was made in the best interest of both fighters and their health.

Boasting a 9-1 record with six knockouts, Paul has agreed to the new November 15th date for the Paul vs. Tyson bout. However, before that, he will first step into the ring against Perry, who holds a 0-1 record . This high-stakes event is titled 'Fear No Man' and will be available on DAZN.

The upcoming five-fight card is taking shape with Ashton Sylve (11-0, 9 KOs) set to face Lucas Bahdi (16-0, 14 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight bout. Additionally, former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is making a return to the ring to take on UFC middleweight Uriah Hall.

With an unyielding spirit and unwavering determination, Mike Perry is fired up and has some strong words for Paul. He told TMZ Sports that he is going to 'knock his teeth in' and predicts that he will knock out Paul.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry predictions

Alexander Gustafsso : Perry can knockout Paul

Swedish UFC light heavyweight veteran Alexander Gustafsson told Crypto Sports Betting : "Mike Perry is savage, he's a great pressure fighter and he's right up in your face. He doesn't allow you to breathe, that's the kind of fighter he is. He will mess you up, he is a tough dude and he's really found his martial art as a competitor in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship - he’s smashing everybody. Jake Paul has proven he can box, he's been doing good, he's a hard puncher, but it's a fight that could go either way but probably won't go the distance."

Michael Bisping : Paul is making a mistake

Bisping told TalkSport: "Mike Perry is a fighter. Mike Perry wasn’t necessarily the best Jui Jitsu artist or had the best wrestling, but there’s not a fight Mike Perry won’t take. He is the epitome of a real fighter. He’s an absolute star in the bare-knuckle organisation. Jake Paul, I think he’s made a tremendous mistake here because [Perry] is a real fighter, he’s going to get in shape, he’s not afraid to mix it up and he’s going to go right at Jake Paul.”

Sean O'Malley : Paul beats Perry

O'Malley said on a recent episode of TimboSugar Show: “I think Jake Paul beats Mike Perry. I think it’s more of a competitive match, [Mike Tyson] is a little bit too aged, weathered. But I think Mike Perry vs. Jake Paul is a very interesting, very competitive fight, probably the most competitive fight that Jake’s had outside of Tommy Fury. I’m very interested to see it…that’s a tough fight to predict. Mike’s in it, but he’s in bare-knuckle, it’s a different sport. Different size, space to fight in, range, it’s very similar but very different. Jake’s been boxing, Mike’s been bare-knuckle boxing.”
