The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired forward Lukas Svejkovsky from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for forward Bennett MacArthur.

Svejkovsky was selected by the Penguins with the 108th overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old appeared in 19 games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL this past season, posting two goals and four points in 19 games. This was after he had 15 points in 47 games with the AHL squad in 2022-23.

Svejkovsky spent the majority of the 2023-24 season down in the ECHL with the Wheeling Nailers, where he recorded 16 goals and 37 points in 30 games.

As for MacArthur, the Lightning have parted ways with one of their depth forwards. The 5-foot-11 forward played in two games for the Syracuse Crunch this past season, posting zero points. He spent the majority of the season in the ECHL split between the Orlando Solar Bears and Allen Americans, recording 11 goals and 32 points in 55 games.
