Another one of the Tampa Bay Lightning's free agents is off the board, as Anthony Duclair has signed a four-year contract with a $3.5 million AAV with the New York Islanders.

While the loss of Duclair does not sting as much as Steven Stamkos' departure, he is still a player who the Lightning will miss. The 5-foot-11 winger was an immediate hit for the Lightning after they acquired him, as he posted eight goals and 15 points in 17 games. This was after he had 27 points in 56 games with the San Jose Sharks before the move.

Given the Lightning's salary cap situation heading into the summer, Duclair was expected to not get a new deal from them. Thus, after a solid year, he has earned this long-term deal with the Islanders.

With the Islanders needing more scoring, Duclair is exactly the type of sniper who should help fix things on that front. He should fit a home right in the Islanders' top six on opening night.
