Bucs DL Calijah Kancey loves having Baker Mayfield as his QB

While many wondered whether or not the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could maintain their success following the retirement of Tom Brady, Baker Mayfield has kept a good thing going, leading the Bucs to a third straight NFC South title last season.

Mayfield was rewarded with a new three-year contract extension this offseason, and he’s established himself as a respected leader in the locker room and on the field, and not just with his teammates on offense.

During a recent appearance on “The Jim Rome Show,” Bucs defensive lineman Calijah Kancey made it clear that he loves having Mayfield as his quarterback:

Mayfield has clearly earned the respect of his team, and he should have them contending for yet another division championship in 2024.
