With hit songs like “Whiskey Glasses”, “Thought You Should Know”, and “Wasted on You”, Morgan Wallen gained more than a devout following as he walked away with numerous awards from the Academy of Country Music and the Billboard Music Awards. Outside of his time dominating the charts, the country singer is a top name in the genre. Spending the last decade growing his name in country, the singer recently traveled to Florida for his ongoing tour. But while excited to entertain fans in Tampa, Wallen mysteriously canceled the show. While fans reacted to the news, Jelly Roll decided to step up, helping the country singer out.

It doesn’t matter which genre of music, no performer loves the idea of of canceling a show. With thousands of fans looking forward to seeing Wallen on the stage, the singer released a statement on social media, reading, “I hate to reschedule shows but I powered through being sick in Tampa last night, and unfortunately woke up feeling way worse today. I would not give you guys anywhere near 100% tonight and as a result, I need to move tonight’s Tampa show to Oct. 4 and next week’s Charlotte shows to Oct. 18 and 19.”

Jelly Roll Takes Over For Morgan Wallen In Florida

With Jelly Roll preparing to open for Wallen during the One Night At A Time tour alongside Nate Smith, the country singer, like many fans, hated the idea of the concert not happening. So he decided to make it happen anyway. He wrote, “Dear Tampa – I am working hard to put together something for y’all somewhere tonight – stay tuned.”

Not just offering up empty promises, Jelly Roll delivered when he announced in a separate tweet that he would be playing at a local country nightclub called Dallas Bull. And to make it even better, the concert was free for any person who purchased a ticket to the canceled Wallen show. “TAMPA! Dallas Bull tonight— doors open at 7pm. If you have a ticket to the show you get in for free. (This is for ticket holders only) FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.”

Fans praised Jelly Roll for always keeping them in his mind. Comments included, “This is awesome JR! Love that you always come in heart first.”
