In the weeks following a shooting that reportedly ended his life, Julio Foolio's Instagram account has been uploading some weird posts that assert he's still amongst us. On Sunday, July 14, a video of the Florida rapper flashing off his "new haircut" appeared on his timeline with a caption that seemingly teased new music. It's one of numerous that have popped since the rapper passed away .
"Fresh cut!!! Morning vibes. Tag yo barber who gets u right. #demigod #stillstanding NEW MUSIC ON THE WAY đ" the caption says.
Similar posts like the one above have been uploaded to Foolio's timeline in the weeks after a shooting that claimed the rapper's life. The 26-year-old artist, born Charles Jones, was in Tampa to celebrate his birthday at a party at an Airbnb. After the party got too packed, Foolio was booted from the property. He brought the festivities to a Holiday Inn and spent the rest of the night there.
Right before 5 a.m., Foolio was in the parking when a man in a ski mask opened fire at his vehicle. Footage from the hotel shows the man fired bullets directly into the windshield on the driver's die. The rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Three other men were also in the car and were also sent to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
As of this report, there have been no formal disputes to the police reports about the rapper's death. Foolio's mother even confirmed he died and eulogized him on Instagram. She also promised to make a documentary about her son's life. Footage from the rapper's open-casket funeral showed he was laid to rest over a week after his murder.
