Hillsborough sheriff’s deputies are searching for a woman who was kidnapped early Thursday morning and for a man they suspect took her.

The woman who was kidnapped is Jayanna Clark, 25. The man who they suspect kidnapped her is Jayvontae Bell, 26.

Sheriff’s officials said they were called at about 1:30 a.m. to a report that a woman had been kidnapped near the 5000 block of Bordeaux Village Place in Tampa, which is near USF.

Witnesses told deputies that a black Nissan pulled up to Clark, two people got out of the vehicle and forced Clark inside, according to a news release.

The release doesn’t include information about why deputies suspect Bell in the kidnapping or if he and Clark had a relationship. Bell also is wanted on a warrant for armed kidnapping in Pinellas County, officials said.

“We are using every resource available to ensure the safe return of this young woman,” said Hillsborough Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement. “If you see something or know anything about her whereabouts, please reach out to our detectives.”

Anyone who comes in contact with Bell should not approach him, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Sheriff’s officials said anyone with information can call them at 813-247-8200.
