“A tropical wave is expected to develop in the southern Atlantic and move west to northwest over the next several days,” Max Defender 8 Meteorologist Eric Stone said. “Conditions will be conducive for further development by the middle of next week. A tropical depression could form at that time as the wave moves over the Leeward Islands and the Greater Antilles. Some models have the storm staying very weak, but the Euro does have this system develop and move toward the Bahamas, staying east of Florida.”

On Friday, the NHC said the system was expected to build over the eastern Caribbean through Sunday.
