TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — With school just weeks away, it’s time to start thinking about what you and your kids will need for another successful school year.

Many stores have stocked up on supplies just in time for this year’s back-to-school sales tax holiday. Over the next two weeks, you won’t have to pay sales tax on various back-to-school necessities.

This includes: Supplies $50 dollars or less, learning aids $30 dollars or less, clothes and shoes $100 dollars or under, and electronics $1,500 or cheaper. See the full list at the end of this article.

Some tips from a moms group leader are to use an app to compare prices for the best deals and not to be afraid to check out the clearance rack.

This year’s back-to-school sales tax holiday ends on Sunday, August 11th.

Teachers in Hillsborough County can shop for free school supplies at the Hillsborough Education Foundation’s teaching tools resource center which re-opened this month for the upcoming school year. It’s on North Howard Avenue and is filled with donated school supplies.
