On Thursday morning, Jon Heyman of the NY Post reported that White Sox lefty Garrett Crochet plans to remain in a starting role throughout the rest of the season. There had been talk about him potentially moving to the bullpen thanks to concerns about blowing past his previous innings total, but Crochet put those rumors to bed.

Two-time Pro Bowler linebacker Haason Reddick is holding out from training camp but the Baltimore Ravens could be favorites to sign him. According to a report, Reddick is making his stance clear to receive a new contract, so he isn’t reporting to camp due to their dispute. It wasn’t too long before the Jets made a move to trade for the star pass rusher from the Eagles, he has one last year on his contract but he’s eager to receive an extension. Reddick is digging heels in this situation and it doesn’t look like it’ll be a good one, it shouldn’t surprise anyone if he ends up on another roster.

Gettysburg Foundry site to have hazardous material removed, new sewer installed as part of $2.4 million state rehab project
The site will be redeveloped and prepared for a future employer to set up a business and hire workers. “The Commonwealth is taking steps to make properties like the Gettysburg Foundry site viable and attractive to potential employers,” Mastriano said. “The goal is to get the Gettysburg Foundry site ready so an employer can acquire it, start a new business and staff it with local workers from the community.”

Gettysburg women’s basketball team honored for academics
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Gettysburg women's basketball was honored for its academic success by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recently. The WBCA annually recognizes the Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll in each division (NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, and two-year colleges) but, for the third year, all teams which qualified for the top 25 rankings with a minimum 3.0 GPA were also recognized for their academic accomplishment.

We'll have a mix of sun and clouds, a northerly breeze, and highs in the middle to upper 80s.We'll continue with the lovely weather right on through the weekend. Go ahead and make outdoor plans! Both days feature solid sunshine and highs near 90°. Humidity levels over the weekend will stay nice and low. Monday will be a transition day with increasing humidity and the chance for a few showers later in the day, mainly well west of Baltimore. Highs on Monday climb into the lower 90s.Tuesday through Thursday will be tropical in terms of humidity with some drenching afternoon and evening thunderstorms in some places. These will be of the hit or miss variety. Highs will be in the lower 90s, however, it will feel hotter with the high humidity.
