One arrested after man found shot multiple times in his backyard near Bogalusa, officials say
A Washington Parish man has been arrested after authorities say they found a man shot dead in a backyard near Bogalusa on Friday. Clois Clifton Blackledge III, 35, was arrested Saturday after investigators say he shot Lark Starnes, 62, in the backyard of Starnes' home in the 1200 block of South Choctaw Road near Bogalusa.

NEW ORLEANS (AP/WVUE) — A Cash Money reunion show will headline Essence Fest at the Caesar’s Superdome on Friday night. Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Friends will celebrate 30 years of Cash Money Records and its Millionaires. Juvenile, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, The Roots and Mannie Fresh are scheduled to perform. R&B singers Jacquees and Ari Lennox and country artist Mickey Guyton also will take the stage.
