Princess Changes All-Inclusive Offer to Have No Drink Limit, Unlimited Dining (And a Higher Price)

Princess Cruises offers what we consider one of the best deals in cruising with its all-inclusive offers for passengers. Now one of those offers is increasing in price, but passengers are also getting more.

For years now, Princess has given its passengers an option on how to cruise. They can book a traditional fare, or they can book one of two all-inclusive offers called Princess Plus and Princess Premier.

With these packages, you pay one set daily fee and get a number of perks included with your cruise, including the daily gratuity charges, wi-fi, drink packages, and more.

As we’ve discussed before, when you break down the costs of the packages compared to what’s included, it’s an amazing deal if you planned to buy the items included anyway.

For instance, Princess Premier included gratuities ($16.00+ per day), a Premier Beverage Package ($84.99 per day), wi-fi for four devices, two specialty restaurant meals, free room service and a lot more, all for $80 per day.

Now the cruise line is bumping up the price of that package. But Princess is offering more benefits as well.

In an announcement, the cruise line said that starting for sailings departing on or after August 31, the Princess Premier price is bumping up from $80 per day to $90 per day. That’s a 12.5% bump in cost.

In return, the cruise line is offering more within the package.

First, it is lifting the limit on the number of alcoholic drinks allowed under the Premier Beverage Package for those booking via Princess Premier. Traditionally, there is a 15-drink limit when it comes to alcohol. Now, the package is offering unlimited beverages. So passengers who like to drink no longer have to worry about bumping up against the daily limit.

Second, instead of two specialty restaurant meals in the package, Princess will now offer unlimited specialty dining across the ship. In other words, you can eat wherever you want around the ship for no extra charge when opting for the Premier level.

Finally, Princess will now offer “MedallionNet Max” — it’s highest tier of internet service — as part of the package. According to the cruise line, this “offers guests prioritized access to the highest quality and highest performance bandwidth available.”

All told, those booking Princess Premier at the new $90 per day price will receive all the following:

• Premier Beverage Package (no drink limit, previous 15 per day)
• Unlimited specialty dining (previously two meals)
• MedallionNet Max wi-fi connectivity (four devices)
• Unlimited casual dining
• Included room service
• Included OceanNow delivery service
• Reserved theater seating
• Included fitness classes
• Unlimited premium desserts
• Unlimited premium fresh juices
• Unlimited photos
• Included daily crew gratuities
• Princess Prizes
• Free Medallion shipping

If you’re the sort of person who hates being nickeled and dimed on your cruise, there’s not a better deal we’ve seen. And while most cruise lines have been raising prices simply because they can, we like that Princess is also offering more value.

It’s also important to note that with this announcement, there has been no change to the Princess Plus package. It is still priced at $60 per day.
