OLEAN, NY — John MacRoy, a retired educator, will talk about "The Butterfly Experience," his March exhibit, during a reception in the Art Gallery of the Olean Public Library, 134 N. Second St., Friday from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

MacRoy, an Olean native, has an eclectic, extensive collection of beautiful butterflies, moths and giant creepy-crawlies, according to a library press release. He has displayed this collection at hundreds of elementary schools throughout the Western New York region while presenting entertaining and educational assembly programs.
