    Former Washington Borough Mayor and Councilman will run for Warren County Democratic Committee Chair

    Washington Borough: On April 22, 2024, former Washington Borough Mayor and Councilman Scott McDonald announced that he would be seeking the role of Chair of the Warren County
    Democratic Committee. In a letter to the membership, Mayor McDonald shared his vision for the future of the Warren County Democrats.

    McDonald cites the lack of attendance at committee meetings, particularly the lack of younger members. McDonald further states that the longevity and vitality of the party lies with recruiting
    and engaging younger members.

    McDonald further acknowledges the absence of a presence on social media.” Technology has put so much information at peoples’ fingertips, but we hardly share our message online.”
    McDonald stated.

    McDonald pledges to recruit new candidates, train and support them in the methods that he utilized to win in Washington Borough. “New ideas will always be welcome under my leadership. As new challenges come to light, new solutions can and must be found. As a committee, it is our responsibility to help our candidates identify issues and formulate solutions unique to their constituency.” McDonald said.
