May 22 Deadline to Sign up for Stone Hill Affordable & Moderate Housing

WEST ORANGE, NJ – Frank Piazza, owner of Piazza & Associates, made a presentation about the Stone Hill development at the May 7 town council meeting. The complex, which has 64 one-, two- and three-bedroom units, is located at 1000 Executive Drive, near the new library and ShopRite.

He began, “I've been working on affordable housing for 30 years now. We've been engaged by the developer of Stone Hill to serve as the administrative agent for that property.” Piazza explained that his company is creating and implementing the marketing plan for Stone Hill.

Piazza & Associates' website has income eligibility and rental rates (also see above) as well as the application and other information. Stone Hill offers rents that correspond to three income levels: very low, low and moderate. Piazza mentioned that water, gas, sewer and electricity are not included in the discounted rent amounts.

Piazza said that May 22 is the deadline for the preliminary application . Stone Hill staff will input the applicants' address into their database. People on the mailing list will receive updates. They will also host a half-hour webinar about the property and answer questions.

Applicant names will be randomly chosen.
