    EDISON, NJ -- Nick Kee pitched a two-hitter with last-out help from Luis Hernandez to lift Carteret to a 1-0 baseball victory over South Amboy in the championship game of the Greater Middlesex Conference Invitational on Friday.

    Kee struck out seven batters and walked one in his 111-pitch outing for Carteret (17-6). Hernandez got a four-pitch strikeout for the save.

    Eric Thompson singled in the only run of the game in the second inning to score James Rodriguez, who had singled. Those were the only two hits that the Ramblers had against South Amboy starter Micah Nemeth (7 IP, 4 BB, 4 K).
