    Softball: Hunterdon Central Wins H/W/S Tournament, 6-1, over High Point

    PHILLIPSBURG, NJ -- The Hunterdon Central softball team won the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament championship with a 6-1 victory over High Point on Friday.

    Kaitlyn Kozak and Emily Van Cleef combined to pitch a one-hitter for the Red Devils (12-8). Kozak allowed one hit, one unearned run, walked none and struck out two in four innings. Van Cleef struck out three batters in three hitless innings.

    Jessica Yip hit a two-run home run, Paige Seemon went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and Zoe Totaro was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Seemon and Totaro both hit doubles for Central, which scored three runs in the third inning, a run in the fifth and two in the seventh.

    Grace Griesler was 1-for-3 with a run scored and was named tournament MVP.
