Southern Defeats Wall 8-0, Advances to Shore Conference Baseball Tourney Final

RED BANK - Southern defeated Wall 8-0 on Monday afternoon to advance to the Shore Conference Tournament final on Wednesday at Blue Claws Stadium in Lakewood.

They will play the winner of CBA vs RBC.

Southern employed three pitchers to record the shutout.

Mike Kaszynski was 3 for 4 with an RBI. Logan Zeitler was 1 for 4, with three RBI.  Brady Lesiak was 2 for3, with two RBI.  Ray Mulhern was 1 for 3 and scored three times.

Roger Dreher opened pitching four and 2/3 innings of one-hit ball.

Matt Desiderio mopped up the fifth and Tyler McLeod pitched the last two scoreless innings.

Gabe Tomei rapped an RBI triple to put the Rams up 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth.

• Ray Mulhern broke the career hits record set at No. 87.
• Brady Lesiak 51st RBI of his career, broke the career RBIs record.
• Gabe Tomei's triple broke the career record for triples. This was the eighth of his career.
