GLEN ROCK, NJ - It's not the Jetsons, it's way better!

For those who may not know, The Jetsons was a futuristic cartoon in which robots were part of daily life, phone conversations happened over video and cars zoomed around in the skies.

At that meeting, the Board recognized members of the Glen Rock Middle School/High School Robotics Teams
for their achievements and success this year.

The 90 students that make up the two Glen Rock Robotics teams, Cosmic Goose and Galactic Pigeon, participated in eight competitions during the 2023-24 school year and put in 400+ total hours of work after school and on the weekends since September, according to Robotics coaches, Rob Lockatell and Tim Mure.

Out of 183 teams in New Jersey, both teams not only qualified for the state tournament, but also made the playoffs. In an "incredible showing," the coaches said Glen Rock’s rookie team, Galactic Pigeon, went on to win states and was named the 2024 state champion.
