Olean Voters Elect Burrows and Hauser to School Board

OLEAN, NY — Voters elected Elizabeth Burrows and Rene Hauser to the Board of Education and approved the district’s budget Tuesday.

The school board is scheduled to vote on a resolution certifying the results during Wednesday's 6:30 p.m. meeting.

According to the resolution, Burrows received 363 votes and Hauser finished with 273 to win the two available seats on the school board. Board member Alan Peters finished third with 201 votes.

Burrows and Hauser will take office July 1 and serve five-year terms.

The district’s $56,169,525 2024-25 budget was approved 319-127. The 2023-24 budget was $51,501,933.
