Baseball: Singh's Pitching Leads Baseball Victory Over Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, NJ -- Veer Singh pitched a four-hitter to lead Franklin to a 7-2 baseball victory over Montgomery on Wednesday.

Izaiah Robinson went 2-for-3 with a double and a run batted in and Mike Schiermeyer was 2-for-3 with a run scored for Franklin (10-12), which scored two runs in the first inning and two in the third to take a 4-0 lead.

Singh struck out seven batters and walked three in seven innings and 89 pitches.

Franklin will play at Scotch Plains-Fanwood in the first round of the NJSIAA Section 2, Group 4 tournament on Thursday.
