Sparta Boys Lax Moves Past Morris Hills in NJSIAA North, Group 2 Tournament

SPARTA, NJ – The number 2 seed Sparta boys lacrosse squad defeated 15 seed Morris Hills 11-7 on Wednesday in the first round of the NJSIAA North, Group 2 tournament. Eddie Brown, Hunter Takacs and Matt Ciarelli each netted three. Marco Aquino and Michael Pandiscia each added one.

Brown and Takacs earned three assists. Greg Peters had two assists. Luke Spelman, Ciarelli and Aquino each contributed with an assist.

Goalie Parker Hein made 14 saves, moving his season total to 170 saves.

The Spartans will host number seven seed Warren Hills on Thursday for the second round of the tournament.
