Softball: Hunterdon Central Clubs Edison, 21-2, in State Tournament

FLEMINGTON, NJ -- The Hunterdon Central softball team advanced in the first round of the NJSIAA Section 2, Group 4 tournament with a 21-2 victory over Edison on Wednesday.

Cambria Tucker ripped a home run and a double and knocked in four runs; Paige Seemon was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI; Maitland Halsted was 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI; and Zoe Totaro had two hits and scored a pair of runs for the Red Devils (13-10).

Hunterdon Central, seeded fourth, will play at home against fifth-seeded Elizabeth in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
