    State's School Performance Report for Edison Schools 2022 - 2023 is Now Available

    SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The state’s annual school performance report for 2022-2023 is now available for the Edison School District as well as all other New Jersey school districts. These reports measure a school's academic accomplishments as well as the student’s post-graduate enrollment in higher education.

    “The School Performance Reports reflect the New Jersey Department of Education's commitment to providing parents, students and school communities with a large variety of information about each school and district,” the state’s website reads, “These reports can be used as a tool to help evaluate whether all students have equitable access to high quality education. We encourage you to use these reports to learn more, start conversations, and engage.”

    According to the report, Edison School enrolled 16,763 students with a student to teacher ratio of 14:1. An estimated 10.7% of students have a disability, 6.1% are English learners and 23.2% are classified as ‘Economically Disadvantaged.’

    South Brunswick students met the standards for both English Language Arts and Mathematics set by the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment. An estimated 58% of South Brunswick students met the standards for English Language Arts while 53% met the standards for Mathematics. The state’s goal is 80% for both, according to the website.

    Around 48.5% of South Brunswick students were enrolled in an advanced placement (AP) course, compared to 34.9% of students statewide.

    92.8% of South Brunswick High School students graduated after attending for four years for the 2022 - 2023 school year, according to the website. Of those who attended for five years, 96.1% of the students graduated.
