WOODBRIDGE, NJ -- Bayonne scored all its runs in the fifth inning to rally for a 6-4 baseball victory over Woodbridge in the first round of the Section 2, Group 4 tournament on Thursday.

Senior right-hander Nolan Geisler allowed two hits in six innings, striking out eight, walking three and throwing 106 pitches for Bayonne (13-13). Geisler was the winning pitcher when Bayonne captured the sectional championship last year against Bridgewater-Raritan. Geisler recorded the 200th strikeout of his career during the game at Woodbridge.

Senior righty Eddy Nunez, one of the top pitchers in Middlesex County, had the Bees shut out through four innings before they started buzzing in the fifth. Adrian Garcia, Jack Attisano and Mike Cunningham all had RBI singles and Nikko Sanchez delivered a two-run double in the inning. Sanchez went 2-for-3.

Tim Deignan and Drew Lukachyk both doubled and drove in a run for Woodbridge (17-10). Nunez finished with seven strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Bayonne, the 11th seed, will play at third-seeded Ridge in the quarterfinal round next Wednesday.
