    COLTS NECK, NJ -- Colts Neck scored nine runs in the first inning and went on to a 13-0 baseball victory over Middletown North in the first round of the Central Jersey, Group 3 tournament on Thursday.

    Dan Annunziata went 3-for-3 with a double and a run batted in, and Kyle McCarthy was 2-for-3 with three RBI for Colts Neck (16-9).

    Nick Hayden pitched four innings for the win, allowing one hit and two walks and striking out five. Tosh Mancini pitched a perfect fifth inning to finish up.

    Ronan Kiely and R.J. Conover each had two hits and one RBI for Colts Neck, the sixth seed, which will play in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday against either Middletown South or Jackson Liberty.
