The Keyport Food Truck & Music FEASTival was a perfect way to kick off Memorial Day Weekend! Seventeen food trucks were gathered at the Waterfront Park for an all-day event on Saturday, May 25th. Admission was only $5, and children under 5 years old could attend for free. Guests over 21 years old were given wristbands so they could take advantage of the adult beverage offerings. Hundreds of people filtered in and out of the park from 11 AM to 8 PM and enjoyed the food, music, amusements, and vendors. The event was produced by Just Jersey Fest and JamFam Productions.

Every flavor preference could be satisfied at one of the many food trucks present: Angry Archie’s, The Angry Chouriço BBQ, The Brownie Bar, Chick Wings & Things, Cold Stone Creamery, Dagostino’s Desserts, Empanada Mania, Harry’s Lil Kitchen, House of Cupcakes, Kielbasa ‘N More, Latin Bites, The Rolling Pita, The Sandwich Freak, Señor Tacos, Taste of Napoli, Twisted Steaks, and Uncle Sal’s Gourmet Egg Rolls. Additionally, there was a beer/sangria and margarita garden for adults.

In between snacks and drinks, there were different activities around the park to enjoy. Many people took advantage of the green space to relax and watch any of the three bands that performed at the event: Eddie Testa Band, Only Human, and Pure Petty.

There were also a lineup of vendors that people could visit, including Magik Treazurez, Doctor’s Creek, Pick Me!, Cutco, LuvLee Creations & More, Bath Fitter, Laurimar, Jerky Rob, Mia Famiglia Cigars, L’Bri, Boho Alchemist, Koltuk’s Honey, Isabella Jolie Jewelry, Resurrected Relics, Saravella, Scented Whites, author Mark R. Vogel, Von Dirt, New York Life, Struck by Art, LeafGuard, Doggie Sweets, and more. Visitors could also receive a Henna tattoo or psychic reading.

Aside from the music and vendors, children and families could enjoy a petting zoo and pony rides. Other amusements included a bungee trampoline, rock wall, race track, face painting, mini golf. There were also some inflatable activities, such as a bounce house, slide, inflatable axe throwing, and knockerball.

Neptune City resident Maureen Naugton visited Keyport specifically for this event. She enjoyed “being outdoors and the option to bring your own seating.” Naugton would love to see a similar event in Bradley Beach’s Riley Park or Neptune City’s Memorial Park.
